As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, erafone continues to strengthen the erafone Jaga Bumi campaign, a collaborative initiative with Katadata Green. One of the campaign’s recent activities took place in Bandung on 13 July 2025, in partnership with local environmental communities and the Bandung City Environmental Agency.
The vibrant event combined hands-on action, educational sessions, and digital skill-building through three main activities:
Plogging: Exercising While Caring for the Environment
Promoting a healthy lifestyle while protecting the environment, erafone collaborated with Parongpong Community, Berplogging Ria, Teens Go Green, and with support from the Bandung City Environmental Agency, to organize a plogging activity, which involves jogging or walking while picking up litter.
The plogging route started from Gedung Sate and ended at the erafone & more store in Dago, attracting nearly 150 participants, including members of various communities, erafone employees, and the general public. During the activity, participants collected approximately 20 kilograms of waste, consisting of cigarette butts, glass, plastic, paper, and residual waste. All collected waste will be recycled through the Parongpong Recycle and Waste Lab facility.
Educating on Responsible E-Waste Management
Following the plogging session, participants joined a sharing session titled “It’s Time to Manage E-Waste Responsibly.” The session featured Amiroh Husna Utami (Vice President of Parongpong Raw Lab) and Fitria Nurhayati (Communication Strategist at Katadata Green), who shared insights on the importance of responsible e-waste management for environmental sustainability.
Workshop: “Level Up Your Content”
Beyond environmental issues, erafone also hosted a workshop titled “Level Up Your Content,” focusing on how to maximize smartphone capabilities for creating high-quality content. The workshop was led by Abdurahman Sidik (HC CLP Erajaya Digital Region 3) and Carolus Bregas Pranoto (Communication Strategist at Katadata Green), who provided practical tips and inspiration for digital-savvy audiences.
E-Waste Dropbox and Participant Rewards
To complement the event, erafone provided a dedicated dropbox for e-waste at the venue, inviting participants and the wider public to dispose of their electronic waste responsibly. As a token of appreciation, erafone also offered rewards to participants who contributed to the initiative.
Through these activities, erafone aims to inspire communities to care more deeply for the environment and continue protecting our planet, in line with the spirit of the erafone Jaga Bumi campaign.
