Kuala Lumpur, August 6, 2026 – PT Era Boga Nusantara (“EBN”), also known as Erajaya Food & Nourishment and part of Erajaya Group, announced a strategic partnership with Oriental Coffee International Sdn. Bhd. (“Oriental Kopi”). The partnership is established through the formation of a joint venture company, PT Era Oriental Kopi. Through this partnership, the two companies will develop and operate Oriental Kopi-branded restaurants in Indonesia, with the initial development focused on the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area.
PT Era Oriental Kopi will operate Oriental Kopi outlets in Indonesia with full support from Oriental Coffee International Sdn. Bhd., covering operational systems, recipes, service standards, and brand identity, to ensure a customer experience and product quality consistent with Oriental Kopi outlets in its home market. Under the partnership structure, EBN will hold a 60% stake, while Oriental Coffee International Sdn. Bhd. will hold the remaining 40%.
Jeremy Sim, CEO of Erajaya Food & Nourishment, said, “We have seen strong enthusiasm for Oriental Kopi among Indonesian consumers even before the brand officially entered the market. This serves as a strong validation of the brand and presents a strategic opportunity for Erajaya Group to further strengthen its food & nourishment business portfolio. Through this partnership, we are committed to bringing the authentic Oriental Kopi experience and its proven operational standards to Indonesia, while expanding access for Indonesian consumers to enjoy Oriental Kopi’s signature menus and products.”
Dato’ Calvin Chan Jian Chern, Managing Director of Oriental Kopi Holdings Berhad, said, “Expanding into Indonesia marks an important new chapter in Oriental Kopi’s journey. This decision is driven not only by the market’s significant potential, but also by the strong alignment between Indonesia and the character of our brand. Most importantly, we have experienced a warm welcome and tremendous enthusiasm from the Indonesian public.
The geographical proximity between Malaysia and Indonesia allows us to preserve what matters most to Oriental Kopi: authentic Malaysian flavors, uncompromising quality, and sincere hospitality. Both countries also share a deep appreciation for the richness of culinary flavors. Through this expansion, we hope to make our culinary heritage part of the everyday lives of millions of Indonesians.
It is an honor for us to partner with Erajaya, whose business scale and expertise provide an ideal foundation for our expansion. Together, we are building a lifestyle destination where meaningful moments can be created, both through our outlets and our FMCG product lines.
We are deeply grateful for this journey and increasingly excited about the opportunities ahead as we bring authentic Malaysian flavors to the world.”
This partnership also marks a strategic step for EBN to expand the presence of Oriental Kopi across Indonesia, in line with Erajaya Group’s business diversification strategy into the consumer and lifestyle sectors.
